About Emma-Lucy Thomson
Emma-Lucy Thomson is a neurodivergent writer/author passionate about bridging the gap between neurotypical and neurodivergent communication after her own personal struggles. She has previously self published a book in her early twenties while living in an adult residential home for autistic people (Tortured Soul: A female Aspies story part 1). Copies are still available online via a few book agents and there is an extract on google, click here to view.
However, the book had to be withdrawn from sale after she experienced personal attacks on her personal life leading to the loss of her son to adoption.
She has previously been involved in an online art collective project for those experiencing mental health issues. Modelled in charity fashion shows and briefly volunteered in a charity shop. Briefly did a stint writing music reviews on slicethepie.com.
She is a regular contributor to an art exhibition for the National Brain Appeal Charity - all proceeds go toward improving the lives of those with neurological conditions. She has also previously contributed to a not-for-profit anthology which was sold to raise money for a cancer charity.
To help with her specific writing goal Emma-Lucy has participated in continued professional development course - Medicine and the arts: Humanising Health Care - Crime, Justice and Society - Psychology and Mental Health: Beyond Nature and Nurture - Academic Integrity: Values, Skills, Action.
